        GB/T 8884-2017 "Edible Potato Starch" replaces GB/T 8884-2007 and clarifies the technical requirements and inspection standards for edible potato starch. The standard covers sensory indicators, physical and chemical indicators, safety requirements, etc., and specifies the labeling, marking, Encasement, transportation and storage requirements of starch in detail. The technical requirements include sensory assessment, ash, moisture, viscosity, speckle, fineness, whiteness and ph value detection methods. In addition, the standard also specifies sampling, inspection rules and related requirements for product delivery and type inspection. This standard applies to edible starch produced from potatoes as raw materials, aiming to ensure the mass and safety of products.
