The standard applies to observation under reflection OpticalMicroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscope. The standard specifies the need to ensure sample representativeness when sampling, and to develop a detailed sampling plan, including sampling location, quantity and method. Resin with low viscosity and high transparency is recommended for the embedding stage, and the mold needs to be properly treated to ensure that the sample does not move. The grinding process should be carried out gradually, to avoid contact with water, and to grind according to the specified particle size sandpaper. The polishing process requires the removal of grinding marks, and the final sample needs to be cleaned and dried with absoluteethanol.
