Part 2 of this standard specifies methods for analyzing Saunderson corrections in Colorimetry, solutions to the Kubelka-Munk equation, and methods for the determination of Color-Strength and hiding power. With Saunderson corrections, the standard resolves errors due to surface reflection in Colorimetric analysis, thus improving the accuracy of measurement results. The Kubelka-Munk equation provides a theoretical basis for the quantitative analysis of Color and hiding power. The standard also covers methods for calculating Color-Strength and hiding power, parameters that are critical for performance evaluation of Coating, dyestuff, and Miscellaneous chromadizing materials.
