"GB/T 6822-2024 anti-fouling anti-rust paint system for ships" is a national standard for anti-fouling anti-rust paint for ships. It is mainly used to standardize the protective paint system for the outer surface of steel hulls below the waterline and at the waterline. The standard clarifies the classification, performance requirements, detection methods and Encasement transportation of anti-fouling anti-rust paint, aiming to improve the anti-fouling performance of hulls, extend the service life of ships, and meet environmental protection requirements. The standard was released in November 2024 and will be officially implemented on June 1, 2025. It is suitable for the design and application of anti-fouling anti-rust paint system for all kinds of steel ships.
