The ASTM D4185-23 standard specifies a method for the determination of metal content in workplace air by flame Atomic absirption spectroscopy-tometry, AAS (FAAS). This method is applicable in a variety of industries and is used to assess the risk of worker exposure to toxic metals. The standard details the process of collecting, dissolving, and quantitatively analyzing metals, and detects 21 metals.
