The ISO 287 standard specifies the oven drying method for determining the Moisture content of paper and Cardboard batches. This method is suitable for all types of paper and Cardboard, including corrugated fibreboards and solid Cardboard, provided that the paper or Cardboard does not contain any substance other than water that evaporates at the temperature specified in this document. Moisture content is calculated by drawing samples from the batch and drying them at the specified temperature until the sample mass is constant during the assay. This method is widely used in paper and Cardboard production, quality control and research.
