The ISO 11476:2016 standard specifies a method for determining the CIE whiteness of paper and Cardboard under indoor lighting conditions (C/2 °). This method is suitable for paper and Cardboard with or without fluorescent whitening agents and aims to obtain a whiteness value corresponding to the visual Appearance of paper through radiant luminance data in the full visible Light spectrum. The standard also relates to the determination of the CIE chromatic value and fluorescent composition and specifies methods for adjusting the UV content to comply with the requirements of CIE Light source C. The standard does not apply to colour paper containing fluorescent dyestuff.
