The ISO/TR 10688:2015 standard provides basic terms and formulas for Optical inspection properties of paper, Cardboard and pulp. It is designed to help the paper industry better understand and describe Optical Properties such as whiteness, luminance, opacity, etc. This technical report summarizes the formula for calculating Optical Properties, which can be used in conjunction with specific international standards to determine the required Optical Properties. It is applicable to Optical Property assessment of paper, Cardboard and pulp, providing a scientific basis for quality control and product development in the paper industry.
