The ISO 8780-5 standard specifies a dispersion method for evaluating the dispersion properties of pigments and whitening agents, using an automated Grinder for dispersion. This method is suitable for the comparison of small and medium samples for pigment quality control. During the test, pigments are mixed with the gluing agent using an agreed high viscosity gluing agent system that does not contain volatile solvents and dispersed by an automated Grinder. The dispersed sample can be compared with the Miscellaneous sample to evaluate its dispersion performance. This standard is used in conjunction with the evaluation method in ISO 8781 and is widely used in quality control and Product Research & Development of pigments and whitening agents.
