GB/T 4498.1-2025 "Rubber, Determination of Ash, Part 1: Muffle furnace method" is the core standard for Rubber quality control in our country. The standard is issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and is under the jurisdiction of the National Rubber and Rubber Standardization Technical Committee. It will be officially implemented on November 1, 2025, replacing the 2013 version of the standard. The new standard innovatively introduces method C (ashless filter paper parcel method) to form three differentiated determination methods: basic muffle furnace method (method A), sulfuric acid treatment method (method B) and filter paper parcel method (method C), which are suitable for rubber materials with different compositions, respectively. Compared with the old version, it mainly optimizes the definition of terms, equipment accuracy requirements and safety operation specifications, and adds metal element interference instructions to provide a more comprehensive technical basis for ash detection of raw rubber, mixed rubber and vulcanized rubber.
