GB/T 45516-2025 "Leather and fur, chemical test, determination of ethylene glycol ether content" is an important testing standard for the safety performance of leather products in our country. The standard systematically specifies the detection method of six ethylene glycol ether compounds (including ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, etc.) in leather and fur, and adopts high-performance liquid chromatograph and other implementation technologies for trace-level accurate determination. The standard specifies in detail the key links such as sample pretreatment, instrument parameters, quality control, etc., which are suitable for the chemical security evaluation of various leather products raw materials and finished products. Under the supervision of the National Leather Industry Standardization Technical Committee, it will be implemented on November 1, 2025 to provide a unified technical basis for industry supervision and international trade.
