GB/T 44576-2024 "Test Method for torque of thermoplasticity plastic valves" is a recommended national standard published in September 2024 and officially implemented on April 1, 2025. The standard is modified to adopt the international standard ISO 8233:2024 to provide a unified test method for the testing of the opening, closing and rotational torque of various types of thermoplasticity plastic valves (including manual and power-driven valves) for fluid transportation. The standard specifies the condition adjustment requirements before the test (such as specifying that the sample needs to be adjusted at a specific temperature and closed state for at least 24 hours), and specifies the test conditions (such as commonly used temperature, medium and pressure range), strict operation procedures and test reporting specifications. During the test, special equipment that can provide and accurately measure the test pressure (accuracy +/- 1%) and torque (accuracy +/- 2%) needs to be used, and the torque value needs to be continuously read and recorded during the test.
