This standard describes a method for visually assessing Gloss differences on coated surfaces using a special Light source. Helps detect and analyze the distribution and intensity of light reflected from a surface by providing a strong pattern of chiaroscuro contrasts. The method defines six types of Glossiness and is able to distinguish four levels of Gloss difference for accurately assessing small changes in surface Gloss.
