This standard test method is used to determine the no-pick-up time of traffic coatings under laboratory control. It is suitable for water-based, solvent-based and partially 100% solid traffic coatings. The test evaluates the fast-drying performance of the Coatings by rolling the wheels on a wet-film until no paints are transferred to the wheels. The standard requires control of wet film thickness, temperature, Humidity and airflow to ensure the Repeatability and Reliability of the test results. Although the test results are difficult to directly reflect the effect of field application, the standard-compliant Coatings can show relative performance in practical applications.
