This standard specifies a method for determining the corrosion resistance of paint films on furniture surfaces in salt baths. Compared with the old version of the standard, new requirements are added for sodium chloride solution preparation, test equipment and sample treatment. The test evaluates salt resistance by checking the paint film for defects such as expansion and flaking after soaking in saline water for 100 hours. This standard applies to lame plating furniture and metal parts to ensure long-term corrosion resistance of the paint film.
