The AATCC TM186-2006 standard specifies a procedure for UV aging testing of Spinning & weaving products, including coated fabrics and their articles. The test uses a fluorescent UV Lamp as a Light source and simulates the aging process in a real environment in combination with condensation Humidity and/or spray humidification. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the durability of materials under standardized aging conditions. The results are expressed by the percentage of strength loss, the percentage of residual strength (fracture or bursting), and the color change. The standard is applicable to the degradation resistance evaluation of various types of Spinning & weaving materials, providing standardized methods and standards for material performance testing.
