This standard provides a set of test methods for evaluating the weather resistance of building seals and sealants in outdoor environments. It takes into account the effects of solar radiation, Humidity, temperature and other factors on materials and provides three test procedures (A, B, C) for simulating different degrees of actual use. Procedure A conducts exposure only, while Procedures B and C include the effects of kinematic strain, simulating different efflorescences and kinematic conditions. Test results help to understand the long-term performance of materials, but due to changes in climate and environmental factors, long-term durability cannot be predicted from short-term tests alone. It is recommended that the control material be exposed with the test sample to obtain more accurate comparison results.
