This standard test method is used to evaluate the weathering resistance of building seals and sealants in outdoor climate conditions. Three test procedures are included: Program A does not consider the effect of motion, Program B considers the motion of thermal changes, and Program C applies the motion manually. The test takes into account the durability of sealants in different climate conditions, and it is recommended to test in multiple climate conditions. This method helps to understand the performance of sealings in practical applications, but short-term test results cannot fully predict long-term performance. Long-term repeability testing is required to obtain accurate data.
