The GB/T 12914-2018 standard defines a method for determining the tensile strength, elongation at break, breaking length and tensile energy absorption of paper and Cardboard using a constant-speed tensile instrument (20 mm/min). Applicable to all paper and Cardboard except corrugated fibreboard. The standard also includes formulas for calculating the tensile index, tensile energy absorption index and resilience modulus. Different tensile speeds have an impact on the test results. The results produced by the two methods (20 mm/min vs. 100 mm/min) cannot be directly compared.
