The ASTM D3759/D3759M-05 (2019) standard test method is used to determine the breaking strength and elongation of pressure sensitive tapes. This method is suitable for evaluating the tensile strength and tensile performance of tapes during use and is of great significance for product design and mass assurance. The test covers strength measurement in machine orientation and transverse direction and involves high strength filament reinforced backing and high elastic backing. It is suitable for samples up to 48mm in width and a sharp razor can be used to cut sample boundaries during the test. This method provides an effective means for identifying material properties and verifying tape performance.
