This standard test method is used for the quantitative measurement of tack of pressure-sensitive gluing agents, suitable for quality control and research purposes. The test consists of two methods: Test Method A uses a sample strip with a length of 175 mm for measurement tack by a tensile tester; Test Method B uses a sample strip with a length of 125 mm for measurement by an annular tack tester. The tack of gluing agents will vary depending on the backing, and hard backing usually results in higher tack values. Method A clear 0.05 mm polyester film is used as the backing to ensure the accuracy of the test results.
