This standard provides a test method for determining the water resistance of transport containers. It is used to assess the resistance of containers to deterioration when exposed to water attack or the ability to protect contents from water damage. This test is often used in conjunction with Miscellaneous testing (e.g. drop testing, vibration testing, tilt impact testing, etc.) to comprehensively evaluate the performance of containers.
