The F 2095-07 (2021) standard test method is used to detect pressure attenuation leaks in soft Encasement with or without restraint plates. These methods are suitable for the measurement of small leaks in flexible Encasement seals or walls, detecting leak rates greater than 1 × 10 sccs. The standard provides two test methods: Method A allows Encasement without engagement during pressurization and is suitable for detecting leaks at a steady volume; Method B uses rigid restraint plates to restrict Encasement volume and stabilize measurement. The test is suitable for non-porous films, foils or laminated flexible bags and pallets, and the measurement needs to be carried out under proper calibrating and verification.
