GB/T 2679.8-2016 standard specifies the measurement method of the annular compressive strength of paper and Cardboard. The standard applies to paper and Cardboard with a thickness range of 0.10 mm to 0.58 mm. The annular compressive strength and its index are calculated by gradually increasing the edge compressive force until the specimen is crushed. The standard specifies the test instrument, specimen preparation and test procedure in detail, and introduces a new sampling method and calculation formula. Compared with the 1995 version of the standard, the thickness range of the specimen, the requirements of the compression tester and the calculation formula are modified. In addition, this standard adopts the international standard ISO 12192:2011 and makes adaptability adjustments.
