GB/T 2679.7-2005 "Determination of Cardboard Puncture Strength" standard specifies a method for determining the puncture strength of Cardboard using a pointer type puncture strength meter. This method is applicable to a variety of Cardboard, including corrugated fibreboard, and is designed to evaluate the puncture resistance of Cardboard under specific conditions. The standard describes in detail the structure of the instrument, the adjustment and the calibration procedure, including the requirements for the puncture head, pendulum, counterweight and splint. During the test, the Cardboard sample is sandwiched in the instrument, and the pendulum applies an Impact force to the Cardboard through the puncture head to determine the required energy.
