This standard specifies test methods for assessing the corrosion resistance of metallic materials and their platings by neutral saline water spray test (NSS), acetic saline water spray test (AASS) and copper salt accelerated saline water spray test (CASS) methods. The standard describes in detail the test device, reagent formulation, test procedures and judgment methods, and compares some differences of the international standard ISO 9227. Applicable for the evaluation of corrosion resistance of metallic materials, including metallic coatings of inorganic and organic membranes.
