This standard specifies a general method for determining the relative strength of disperse dyestuff using the Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry. Applicable to disperse dyes in accordance with Beer's law. Absorbance at Maximum absorption wavelength is determined by spectrophotometer after the primary dyestuff and standard samples are dissolved with a specific solvent. According to the Lambert-Beer law, the relative strength of the primary dyestuff can be calculated to evaluate its dyeing performance and mass.
