The ASTM D5215-2021 standard provides a test method for evaluating discoloration of vinyl flooring due to exposure to Adhesive. This method accelerates the discoloration process by exposing a vinyl flooring specimen to heat and UVA light, and then using a colorimeter or spectrophotometer to accurately measure color differences. This test not only objectively quantifies the degree of discoloration, but also effectively excludes the interference of individual subjective evaluations. The test results are expressed in the CIELAB color scale system and are suitable for evaluating the effect of Adhesive on vinyl flooring.
