GB/T 9279-2007 "Paints and varnish scratch test" adopts the equivalent method of the ISO 1518:1992 standard and is proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. This standard specifies the test method for evaluating the scratch penetration performance of Paints, varnish and their composite coatings against hemispherical needles under standard conditions. The test is mainly used to determine the minimum scratch load of the coating and whether the inspection meets specific requirements.
