The standard test method is used to calibrate the solar intensity meter. This method provides an accurate calibration procedure for the solar intensity meter by comparing it with a reference pyrometer. The test is suitable for all types of solar intensity meters, including equipment in both horizontal and tilted positions, and is designed to ensure the accuracy of the measurement of solar radiation. The standard incorporates previous test methods and is consistent with the ISO 9846 standard. The method takes into account the effect of tilt angles, ensuring conformity of the calibrated results at different locations. By using the sun as a Light source, this test method also helps calibrate the characterization factor of the solar intensity meter.
