The IEC 60068-2-11 standard evaluates the corrosion resistance of protective coatings by salt fog spray test. The specimen is exposed to neutral saline water mist in a closed environment and the temperature is maintained at 35 ° C. The spray rate is 1.0 to 2.0ml/80cm ²/hour and the test is performed at MIN Minimum 1.20 million lux hours (visible light) and 200 w-hr/m ² (UV). This test is used to evaluate the corrosion performance of coatings under salt fog conditions and is often used to inspect the mass and uniformity of protective coatings.
