The VW PV1303 standard defines a light exposure test method for non-metallic materials (such as fabrics, plastics, paints, etc.) inside a car, namely the xenon arc aging test. The test evaluates the Color Fastness and Light Resistance Stability of the material under light and heat aging conditions. The test uses an filtrated xenon arc to irradiate the sample to simulate the light effect for a long time. The test parameters include relative humidity, irradiance, black pancl temperature and box temperature. The light aging performance of the material is evaluated through these settings to ensure the durability of the automotive interior material in use.
