The BS ISO 1431-3:2017 standard specifies standard methods and alternative methods for determining ozone concentration in a laboratory for assessing the ozone resistance of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubbers for checking. The standard describes three methods for determining ozone concentration: Method A is the ultraviolet absorption method, which is used as a reference method for calibrating Miscellaneous methods; Method B includes electrochemistry and chemiluminescence techniques; and Method C covers different procedures for wet chemical techniques. These methods provide an effective means of assessing the performance of rubber materials in an ozone environment.
