This standard specifies a test method for accelerated exposure of automotive interior parts using a water-cooled xenon arc aging instrument. This test is designed to simulate the aging process of interior parts under ultraviolet radiation to evaluate their durability. As this standard has been superseded by SAE J2412, relevant applications should be tested and evaluated with reference to the latest standard.
