This standard specifies a test method for evaluating the resistance of coatings and varnishes to imprinting of nylon gauze after drying. The test can be divided into two ways: one is a "pass/fail" test, which evaluates whether the coating has reached an imprint-free state within a specified time; the other is through a sexual repeability test at appropriate time intervals until the coating exhibits an imprint-free time.
