This standard defines a method for calculating the CIE 1976 Luv * (CIELUV) Color space and its associated uniform chroma scale map. The CIELUV Color space provides a more uniform way of measuring color by converting tristimulus values (X, Y, Z) to a Luv coordinate system, improving the perceptual accuracy of visual color differences. This standard includes specific methods for calculating Luv coordinates, Euclidean distances for color differences, and u ', v' uniform chroma scale maps. It is suitable for Color stimuli using CIE 1931 or CIE 1964 standard Colorimetric systems, and for Color evaluation of reflective or transmissive objects. This standard does not apply to Color stimulation of Light sources or mirror reflection areas. The new version replaces the old version, revises some of the content and updates the reference.
