The standard applies to the assessment of paper water-absorption energy and is a key parameter for measuring the mass of tissue paper products. The standard pays particular attention to the accuracy of the manual method, but also allows the use of automated test equipment provided that the automated method is verified to be consistent with the results of the manual method.
