The ISO 2812-4-2017 standard specifies a spotting method for assessing the resistance of a coating material system to liquid or paste-like products. This standard applies to single or multi-layer coatings and allows testers to determine the resistance of coatings and, if required, assess the extent of damage to substrates. This revision adds CAS numbers for reagents in Appendix A and expands the terms and definitions clauses to improve the accuracy and conformity of tests. The ISO 2812 series was developed by ISO/TC 35 Technical Committee to provide international standards for testing methods for paints and varnishes.
