ISO 20379:2018 "Fine ceramics (advanced ceramics, advanced technical ceramics) thixotropic measurement of ceramic slurry using rotational viscometer" standard specifies a technical method for the measurement of thixotropic of ceramic slurry. This method is suitable for ceramic slurry with high solid load, which generally exhibit non-Newtonian flow characteristics. The standard specifies the use of "coaxial binocular Viscometer", "cone-plate viscometer" and "parallel plate Viscometer" three rotational viscometers for measurement. Thixotropic refers to the behavior in which the apparent viscosity of the slurry decreases over time under controlled shear and gradually recovers after the shear force is removed. This standard provides a standard technical basis for accurately evaluating the rheological performance of ceramic slurry.
