This standard specifies methods for the application of decorative and protective organic liquid coatings on aluminium and its alloys. Coatings are mainly applicable to liquids treated by means of electrostatic spraying, airspraying or airless spraying. The standard defines the key characteristics of coatings and provides test methods with minimum performance requirements to ensure the performance of coatings in practical applications. It does not cover coating applications for aluminium coils. The implementation of the standard helps to assess and guarantee the mass and durability of coatings under various environmental conditions.
