ISO 8295-1995 "Determination of coefficient of friction of plastics, films and sheets" standard specifies how to determine the starting and sliding coefficient of friction of Plastic films and sheets when sliding. Applies to non-tacked Plastic films with a thickness of about 0.5 mm. This method is mainly used for quality control and cannot fully evaluate the machinability of Encasement or processing machines. The standard states that the measurement of friction forces needs to take into account the time factor, because static friction forces increase over time. The standard also takes into account the effect of additives on friction characteristics. Appendix A is for reference. This standard was developed by ISO/TC 61 Technical Committee and is a revised version of the ISO 8295:1986 edition.
