GB/T 9758.4-1988 is a Chinese national standard for the determination of "soluble" cadmium content in Paints and varnishes. The standard specifies two determination methods: flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and Polarography, which are suitable for Paints with cadmium content ranging from 0.05% to 5% (mass ratio). In the event of a dispute, flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is used as an arbitration method.
