The ISO 6504-1-2019 standard provides a method for measuring the hiding power of white and light-colored coatings, based on the Kubelka-Munk theory. The standard compares the spread rate required for coatings to achieve 98% hiding power, updates terms and definitions, revises normative references, and clarifies key requirements in the measurement process to improve the accuracy of test results.
