The standard is ISO 1 2137-1 - 1 997 "Determination of scratch resistance of Paints and varnishes, Part 1: Method of arc scribing" and 1998 technical modification sheet 1. The standard specifies the test method for the scratch resistance of Paints, varnishes and other coatings by arc scribing method, covering principles, equipment, test procedures and result evaluation. It is suitable for evaluating the ability of coatings to resist mechanical scratch. It provides a technical basis for the scratch resistance testing of related products. The technical modification sheet improves and adjusts some of the contents.
