The ASTM D6762-2018 hiding power standard for visually evaluating spray-on lining aims to determine the covering power of a Coating by visual observation. This method quantifies the measurement of the film thickness required for complete covering by comparison with a film of known thickness and is suitable for spray paints. Although the accuracy of this method is not as good as that of the Miscellaneous Instrumental Method (such as ASTM D2805), it is widely used due to its ease of operation and its ability to reflect the practical application effect of Coating.
