This standard provides a method for determining the amount of vocs (VOCs) released in waterborne automotive coatings, and the amount of VOCs removed in VOC control equipment. This test is done by measurement of evaporation or drying weight loss of coatings and is suitable for simulating VOC emissions during production. The standard also addresses the removal efficiency of VOC control devices and recommends multiple tests to obtain reliable data. The standard does not cover all safety issues and users are subject to applicable safety and environment regulations.
