The standard "GB/T 34648-2017 Metal and Miscellaneous Inorganic Coatings, Electroless Nickel Plating on Electroless Copper for Electromagnetic Shielding" specifies the technical requirements for electroless nickel plating on electroless copper plating when protecting plastics or metal parts against electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electrostatic discharge (ESD). The standard applies to material parts that require protection from electromagnetic shielding and electrostatic discharge, but not to high-strength steels that are prone to hydrogen embrittlement.
