The "GB/T 16745-1997 Standard test method for brazability of metal cladding products" standard provides a test method for evaluating the brazability of metal cladding. The method uses soft (lead-tin) solder and rosin flux and is suitable for common weldable metal cladding layers such as tin, tin-lead alloys, silver and gold. The standard describes a qualitative, widely applicable test method for evaluating the brazability of metal cladding layers by testing their wettability in molten solder. Although this method is simple and easy to implement and has low equipment requirements, it is not suitable for the assessment of brazability grades. In addition, the standard indicates possible safety hazards and recommends appropriate safety measures.
