This standard describes how to measure the amount of clear liquid separated over a 24-hour period by tack liquids containing solids (e.g. paints, gluing agents, etc.). This test is used to assess the classification of liquids to determine if they meet the Encasement requirements in the UN Recommendations for the Transport of Dangerous Goods. The standard is applicable to a variety of regulatory bodies and can help determine if a material meets transport specifications.
