This standard evaluates the leveling of architectural coatings, particularly white and light-colored water-based and solvent-based paints, by means of a scratch-coating method. The test determines the leveling by comparing the ridges in the film with the plastic levelling standard. This method is not suitable for evaluating the leveling of unchromadizing, textured, and dark coatings. SI units are standard units and values in brackets are for reference only.
